Woman Reading Ticorblog.com

We’re excited to announce that we’ve made a few upgrades to our blog here at ticorblog.com. After one year with the same look & feel, we decided that a facelift with a few feature improvements was in order. So without further ado, here’s a quick breakdown on how you can get the most from our new layout:

We Make You Look Good Too
If you’re on our emailing list, chances are you’ve read our posts and shared them with colleagues and clients. We realize that the content is what really brings value here, but sometimes the way in which it’s presented can make all the difference in the world. Now with a more elegant and upscale aesthetic, you can feel even better about sharing these articles and look good in the process!

Categories Are Easier to Find
We generally write all of our blog posts along four main topics, Title Insurance, Escrow Services, Property Information, and our use of Technology. Each month for each of these core topical areas, the experts on our staff contribute articles or tips that benefit home buyers & sellers and real estate professionals alike. So with that in mind we have made it easier to find articles for each topic by placing category links on the home page and the blogpost pages. So if you’re looking for ‘Tips for working with Escrow on an REO transaction’, simply click the Escrow link and you’ll instantly get the posts that fall in the escrow category. It’s simple but it’s useful.

Our Old Blog Posts are Still There
One of the nice things about using WordPress as our blogging platform is that we can update our look & feel without affecting our content. WordPress separates the content from the look via “themes”. In our case we took the Headway theme and customized it to our liking and activated it on our site. But not to worry… All of the links to our blog posts are the same as they were before the look & feel update. So if you’ve shared links with clients or saved them to your favorites, they’ll still work. Pretty spiffy, huh?

Locating and Contacting us is Easier
After reviewing the analyitics and key search terms on our Google Places pages and for the Blog itself, we realized that there are a ton of people that are simply looking for our branch contact information and/or directions to a particular branch. So with that in mind we have added the full address, phone, and map & directions link to the footer of every page of our site. Again it’s a small detail but one that will serve our clients better.

Research tells us that the most important factor in the design of a website is making it easy for users to find what they are looking for. Have you been able to find what you need on our site?
